Sunrise Outfitting and their partners offer tours throughout San Juan County and Grand County; from Moab, to Monticello, Blanding, and Bluff UT. We have tours throughout the Bears Ears National Monument, Cedar Mesa, Indian Creek, and the Needles district.
The Nielson family has been running the company for three decades. Currently, Josh Nielson is co-owner with his father, Lloyd Nielson, where their share their life long knowledge of Southeast Utah with their guests.

Lloyd Nielson
Lloyd Nielson grew up in Blanding, UT and raised his three sons and daughter here. He has been outdoors guiding, hiking, riding, or hunting the majority of his life.
You would be hard pressed to find a guide or local that know the San Juan County and Bears Ears region better than Lloyd Nielson.
Lloyd is the founder of Sunrise Outfitting joining forces with his youngest son, Josh, over a decade ago.
Co-Owner and Guide
Josh Nielson
Josh Nielson was born and raised in San Juan County. His love for the outdoors, exploration, and adventure makes him an expert on the Bear Ears National Monument and San Juan County areas.
Josh is also raising his family in Blanding, UT teaching them a love for the hard work and outdoor adventure.
Josh has taken on the role of co-owner of Sunrise Outfitting.
