Full Description
Explore a remote canyon full of history, beauty, and quiet places worth the ride. This tour is for people who want to really see this land—not just drive past it. We’ll spend a full day riding side-by-sides through Arch Canyon and a handful of nearby sites that most folks don’t even know how to find.
It’s a mix of riding, walking, learning, and taking time to look around. We’ll start in Blanding and head out toward Old Highway 95, an old road that winds through some of the most scenic parts of the Bears Ears region.
Our first stop is Brushy Overlook, where we’ll get a wide view of the region from above. It’s a great spot to get your bearings and a few photos before we continue towards the canyon itself.
As we make our way into Arch Canyon, we’ll visit several historic sites including Arch Canyon Ruin, the Kitchen, and Jailhouse. These are ancient dwellings built by the Ancestral Puebloans, and they’re full of detail if you know where to look. We’ll share what we’ve learned, give you time to explore, and help you understand what makes these places special.
Further down the trail, we’ll see the towering rock formation known as Texas Tower and pass by the Thumb Rock Ruins before reaching our final destination: Cathedral Arch. It’s one of the most striking natural arches in the area—and a great place to stop for lunch and take it all in.
This tour includes a lot of quiet beauty, a few short walks, and a full day off the pavement. It’s a slower kind of adventure, and that’s what makes it memorable.
