Full Description
After trailering a short distance to the staging area in the surrounds of Comb Wash, we begin our journey.
We make our way into Arch Canyon, we’ll visit several historic sites including Arch Canyon Ruin, the Kitchen, and Jailhouse.
These are ancient dwellings built by the Ancestral Puebloans, and they’re full of detail if you know where to look. We’ll share what we’ve learned, give you time to explore, and help you understand what makes these places special.
Further down the trail, we’ll see the towering rock formation known as Texas Tower and pass by the Thumb Rock Ruins before reaching our final destination: Cathedral Arch. It’s one of the most striking natural arches in the area—and a great place to stop for lunch and take it all in.
